Would you like to train without injury? Often injuries appear as a result of increasing running pace or distance, but can often be avoided by putting in place good technique and solid fitness foundations.

What Ed’s Run Coaching will do for you

My coaching starts and ends with you. Quite simply it is all about you. I apply my experience and knowledge to your unique situation (goals, background, fitness, available time, training preferences). By coaching the individual rather than using a “formula”, you will find your coaching more rewarding, engaging and you will make progress faster.

As your Coach we form a team that is all about you achieving the very best results and having fun! Every runner plateaus at sometime; wondering why you are bothering, lose confidence in your own ability and self belief. Working together in our sessions, and keeping in touch in-between, we can work on techniques to rebuild your confidence and motivation.

I know how frustrating it is to pick up a niggle or injury. Often just at the worst time before an event! But many injuries can be avoided, which is why I include technique development as well as Strength & Conditioning with the people I coach. There is much more to coaching than a monthly plan of distances, standard “sessions” and distances!

But what if you are completely new to running? Maybe none of this makes sense to you, or seems complete overkill! Far from it… learning how to run is often neglected with new runner and al you are left with is the off the shelf “coach to 5k”. I have coached many runners from scratch; some have gone on to compete others have found a life long passion for a sport they never thought they would enjoy. They have all found new friendships in the family of running.
